Work to Play
Some outfits are harder to take from day to night but fortunately this dress it not! I love it on its own and I love it dressed up with a cardigan. My office at work is at a solid freezing temperature at all times which makes it a little difficult to dress for when it's 102 degrees outside here in Dallas. And if you work in an ice cube office, you understand my life. What do you guys do in this dilemma? Wear a sweater everyday? Wear long pants? Bring a blanket to work? Help!
For this Friday look, I wore a floral dress with a cardigan and belt for work, took those off and added heels for a night of fun and friends. Which look do you guys like best?!

I'll Take It In Pink!
Guys. I am one happy camper! This weekend, I bought my first Kate Spade purse!! (insert heart eyes emoji). Yes, I know I'm the last girl on the planet to have one, but I don't care. I love it so much. My husband and I went shopping to the Allen Outlets over the holiday weekend and I ended up catching this beautiful bombshell for 75% off - how awesome is that!? I probably sound super lame raving about a little cross body, but I'm just so happy! It feels nice to spend a little money on yourself. Plus, Kate Spade [and Kendra Scott] are my forever favorites. I wish I could buy every item that those ladies design!
Speaking of wishing I could buy everything in sight, something has been on my mind the last few weeks and I just wanted to drop a little truth bomb on ya [so if you're just here for outfit pictures, just keep scrolling :) ].
My husband and I have been married for two years now and have been the stereotypical struggling newlyweds. Over the last two years, we have been very frugal with our money and spending it mostly on necessities and food (yes, we are fatties). Thanks to the amazing Lord up above, we have both gotten new jobs and raises within the last couple of months so I could afford to spend a little fun money.
It's a joke among my friends that I won't spend more than $20 on any one item, but it's so true. Even spending $20 on something makes me cringe, so spending a little extra money on a new purse was totally out of my comfort zone but totally exciting! I know I sound really lame but I hope there are some ladies out there who spend their money the same way I do. This is the first time since being married that I've spent a little chunk of change on one single item - I know, I'm a freak. But I'm the type of person who rather get 10 things for $100 rather than one item for $100. More bang for your buck, ya know!? Anyone else like that? Please tell me I'm not the only crazy.
And now you're probably asking yourself "where is this post going?" And I find myself asking the same thing as I write. I think I just wanted to put it out there that no matter how bougie I may or may not seem on Instagram, I'm not. I'm just an average girl, with an average job, who is always on the hunt for a sale. I just wanted to let the world know that you can look and feel amazing in great clothes on a small budget. I'd love to know about your favorite Instagram accounts who are on a smaller budget and bargain shop like me! Comment below with some of your favorites and let's be friends :)
With all this being said, I just want you all to know that I am so blessed and thankful for everything that God has given me!

Hippie Child
I'm kind of feeling like a hippie love child today in this outfit.
But I kind of love it. This is one of my favorite blouses and it really
pairs well with these jeans and booties! This was an outfit that I threw
on this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Don't you love when that
happens!?

Tassel Challenge
I had the pleasure of teaming up with some fabulous girls on
Instagram for a special style challenge! Each week, these girls plan a
style challenge for a day and select another fellow Instagrammer to help
them host it. This week, our challenge was to incorporated tassels into
our outfit! Personally, I think tassels are pretty easy to style - they
go with everything!! - it just depends what vibe you're going for. I
decided to pair mine with this vibrant floral top and cognac wedges for
work.
Top: Lauren Conrad (via Instagram sale)
Necklace: Kenda Scott inspired (via Instagram sale)
