Finished a new painting last night! Get your own, customized "there's no place like home" painting here and check out my other work. You get to choose the color, city, and state!
Busy Bee
Could life get any more busy? I feel overwhelmed by the amount of blogging I am behind on so therefore, I am doing a speed post of the last week!:
I wore this outfit on my second interview for Ciao Bella Boutique. I haven't worn these jeans in about a year and I dressed them up with this collared top and shiny necklace.
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Top: Thrift Store
Jeans: Forever 21
Flats: Payless
This was my first day of work outfit! Again, these were pieces that I've had for a while and decided to pair them up. With the addition of a belt and cheetah sandals, I think this look came together great! This entire outfit is brought to you by Forever 21 and Payless, of course!
Another work outfit! Since going to work for me means going to a home office at Amanda's house, the need to dress up isn't really that high so here's a casual "work" outfit.
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Dress: Express
Sandals: Target
On Thursday I met Amanda and Lacy at the Dallas Market Center downtown. It's was an enlightening experience and I'm glad I got to go with them! We got some really cute jewelry and scarves for an upcoming photo-shoot and to put up on the boutique website. Speaking of the website, I made my modeling debut! LOLLLLLL, just kidding. Kind of. Not really. I am "modeling" on the website but that's only because we have no one else. There are only 3 of us working for Ciao Bella and two are pregnant sooooo.. that leaves me. I don't mind doing it but I am no where near model status. Check out the website - we are adding cute, new fall items every few days!
PHEWWWWWW, long post! Almost done. I drove by this on my way home from the market and couldn't help but take a picture. Dangerous? Maybe. Worth it? Yes. I LOVE DALLAS.
Hope everyone has a safe and great Labor Day weekend!

I am unbelievably excited to begin interning for Lacy and Amanda at Ciao Bella Boutique! The company is run solely by these two amazing women who not only are beautiful on the inside, but beautiful on the inside as well. Ciao Bella Boutique is focused on empowering women to look great and feel great about themselves. They give back to the community and help out with organizations any way they can.
Ciao Bella Boutique carries a charming array of clothing, accessories and jewelry. If you don't think you have a budget that lets you purchase full price, make sure to check out the sales - they are fantastic! Check out their shop, story and community efforts HERE!
I always try to download the free music downloads from the Starbucks
app. They tend to share diverse artists and I like that. It’s not always
country, not always pop, not always indie. Most of the time I know the
artists but sometimes I don’t and in that case, it’s a great discovery for me. I love finding new music and the Starbucks app
makes it easy. This weeks pick was Dance Apocalyptic by Janelle Monae.

Flip Flop Fantasy
Today was David’s first day of the police academy! It sounds
dreadful, honestly. That’s something I could never deal with. You get
yelled at for nothing and get physically pushed beyond where anyone
should be pushed. You have to have a very special mentality to go
through something like that. And it’s only the first day! I’m not even
sure how much I’m allowed or not allowed to say about the academy but
I’m hoping no sergeants (that’s a weird word) are perusing tumblr late
at night… So in celebration of David starting the academy, we went to a
Tex-Mex restaurant with his Texas State Trooper friend. I heard an
inordinate amount of police talk but I guess I should get used to it
from now on. THIS IS MY LIFE!
Dear God, please bless me with some Dallas female companions soon. Thank you. Amen.
In other news, I painted my nails a radiant, summery coral yesterday!
The picture just doesn’t do it justice. Every girl should got out and
buy it right now. I got mine on sale at Sally Beauty Supply.

Errands on Errands
Today is our second full day in Dallas! It’s so hot here that the only
way to increase your chances of not sweating to death is to wear a
dress. I got this dress from Plato's Closet and the sandals last season at Target. We have spent many hours shopping and getting settled in today.
We went to grocery shopping, house things shopping (trashcan, hamper,
etc.), and to the bank to officially change our address! Once again, I
could really get used to this place… And I think Miley agrees.

Sunday Funday!
We are all moved in! And by “all moved in” I mean we have all of our
boxes and belongings inside the house. We probably won’t be completely
moved in for weeks, I’m sure. I already love it here and it has been a
total of 24 hours. We went to church today with some friends here and
stopped for coffee on the way. Starbucks is within walking distance of
our apartment and beyond that one, there are at least 4 in a 5 mile
radius. I could get used to this..
PS - please disregard the miscellaneous mess in the background. We just moved, okay!?

Sisters, Starbucks, Spa & Shopping
Today was a wonderful day. My two younger sisters and I went to get
our nails done today! Our mom got me and Kelly gel manicures on Groupon
with the intention of us using that before the wedding. Well seeing as
the wedding was over two months ago, that was a fail. We decided to use
it today! We brought along Haley mostly for the fun of it, but she had
high hopes that she would be able to get a regular manicure for herself.
We had a morning appointment so, of course, we stopped at Starbucks
beforehand for a little pre-salon snack. Yum! Kelly got her nails done
first, with a brilliant blue color and a silver “chevron” accent nail.
By chevron, I mean one zig-zag line at the tip of her nail. It was
interesting. Next, was me! My sister always make fun of me for getting
some sort of shade of light pink but I can’t help it; I love it too
much! They were teasing me a bunch so I ended up going a little crazy
and getting a darker coral color - WHOA! Crazy me. I did, however, get
an accent nail for the first time. It was a subtle silver sparkle. I
actually liked it a lot. Don’t think I would ever care enough to paint
it on myself at home but it’s pretty cute, nonetheless.
After she was finished with my nails, I
asked our manicurist if Haley could get her little nails done and since
she had extra time before her next appointment, she said yes! Haley was
ecstatic inside, but trying to play it cool. It was her first time
getting her nails done! She basically got the same color as me with the
same accent nail but I’m okay with it! She is my mini-me and I love
whenever she wants to have the same whatever as me. She’s so cute! After getting our nails done, we did a little shopping. It was a
great day and I will miss these two uncontrollably when I am in Dallas.
