Grapefruit is such a delicious dessert! When I vocalize how much I love it, I usually get a response along the lines “Ew! How do you eat those?” or “How do you like those? They are so sour?” Well the answer to that question is SUGAR.

I honestly don’t know how anyone could dislike grapefruit. I love the smell. I love the taste. I love everything. In case you don’t know how to “prepare” a grapefruit, it’s unbelievably easy! All you do is cut it in half. Lay it down as if it were laying on its side, with the top to the left or right then cut straight down. Take one half, put it in the bowl and I sprinkle one packet of Splenda on top. Then you take a spoon and go around the grapefruit, loosening the fruit part from the outside. It’s a little tricky scooping out the fruit slices but once you do, all there is to do is enjoy!

I also think that being from Florida, automatically gives me an extra tropical/fruity pallet. When I was younger, we had a grapefruit tree in our front yard. I would go out front, pick a grapefruit off, have my mom cut it, added my own sugar and I was in heaven. Nevertheless, I think everyone should try it at least once.
