Espadrille Flatform Sandals
The platform/flatform phenomenon is my favorite trend of the summer! I've always been a big fan of wedges but the higher the heels got, the less interested I became. They're so cute but not quite functional for everyday wear. Then the rainclouds parted and God dropped off a little show called the platform sandal.
My 2 favorite things about the specific platforms below (that I own) are that 1) they are so comfortable! You can easily wear them all day and all night. I've worn mine probably around 10 times now and I haven't gotten one blister, pinch, nothing! 2) they are the perfect blend of casual and dressed up. Probably more so on the casual side but can be dressed up easily, so they have been my go-to for everything - work, dates, church, walks with the dogs... (just kidding)

Love Island on Hulu
If you've watched this show at all, you're probably already laughing at the fact that I am mentioning this show but it's a new guilty pleasure. My friend suggested I watch this and described it as "a mix between The Bachelor and Big Brother" and what those two shows equate to is: Bachelor in Paradise.
Love Island on Hulu is the British Bachelor in Paradise
It's trashy, everybody is beautiful, and everyone has thick accents (helpful hint: watch with subtitles). It's definitely a mindless/entertaining show to watch - you won't be too invested in it, you won't be giddy about getting home to watch it, but you will have some laughs and learn a lot of British lingo! I usually watch this when I am trying to wind down for the night and not have nightmares (97% of the shows I watch are about serial killers or creepy).
So give it a proper go and let me know what you think!
PS - The American version starts on July 9th, 2019!
