Insta Love

I have been so awful at blogging lately - what's new? That is probably because of my recent love for Instagram... I obsessed! It' just so easy to take, upload and edit pictures on there rather than taking out my digital and trying to prop it up and take selfies. Ghetto, I know. Here are a couple looks from this week via insta:

A Lovely Lunch

Yesterday I went to lunch with some Dallas academy wives/girlfriends. It was the first time I hung out with just the girls and it was really fun to be in a gathering where there wasn't incessant "cop talk." ;) We went to a place I had never been to or heard of - Zoe's Kitchen - and it was delicious!! If you have one near you, check it out! It's like Panera Bread where they have sandwiches, soups and salads and you can do that half-and-half deal. Really though, GO!

MY FAMILY IS HERE

Today marked the arrival of my family which means it is finally feeling like Christmas!! They made a grueling 18 hour road trip to be with us in Dallas for Christmas and I am so unbelievably thankful for that! Now I am even more excited about the holiday season - didn't know that was possible!

My youngest sister, Haley, is such a little diva. She is into intricate nail art and dressing like her sisters. She is definitely a future fashionista! Here, she is wearing one of my leopard scarves and her new cowboy boots. Although I am not a fan of cowboy boots, you can't deny how absolutely adorable she looks!

Yesterday I went to work then David and I had a movie night! Our country club has free movie nights and last night was The Internship. I thought it was going to be better, but I didn't hate it. If you plan on seeing it, lower your expectations. (PS - sorry for the awful picture quality).

Scarf: I can't remember for the life of me!
Dress: Ciao Bella Boutique (last season)
Tights: Payless
Boots: Payless (last season)

Ciao Bella added a new scarf online yesterday! You can buy yours here.

Tomorrow David, Miley and I are headed to Searcy to see my whole family!! I never thought that we would head back to Harding so soon after leaving, but it is definitely worth it! CAN'T WAIT!

Ahhhhh, I have been so busy blogging for Ciao Bella that I haven't felt like blogging for myself... First world probs, right?

Well, Wednesday was a full day of errands and David time. We still have some wedding gift cards so I often head over to Bed, Bath and Beyond to buy some things with our free money. Since we don't have much leisure money, most of our house decorations are from BBB because it's basically free so David can't get mad at me for spending money :)

After David got home from work, we headed over to Plucker's for trivia night! Unfortunately, none of our friends could go so we sat at the bar like loners and played trivia with Team Farrington, woo hoo. We actually ended up making friends with an Indian man and his two children. Without them, we probably would have gotten about 5 questions right. The son was a genius! The whole family had napkins out, scribbling down math problems and trying to come up with the correct answer for everything. It was so funny! Hopefully next week we can have some of our friends come with us! Or maybe the Indian family will meet up with us again, haha!

I wore a comfy and cute outfit for errands and trivia. I love this new top!
