New Obsessions

Just a couple outfits from this week!

Necklace: jane.com
Dress: Forever21
Bow bracelet: groopdealz.com
Wedges: Payless, similar

So, a little (and quite pointless) story of my tassel adventure... Over the last few weeks, I have been seeing tassel bracelets occupy Instagram and I couldn't wait to get myself one! It took me a while to pick out which colors I wanted to get at first - I am so indecisive - but I finally settled on a white tassel and black tassel, thinking that they would match the most. After having this bracelet significantly less than 24 hours, I ended up ordering 3 more colored tassels online last night {insert crying/laughing emoji face here}. I couldn't help myself!! And my husband thinks I'm a crazy tassel lady now...

How cute is little Tanky Tank!? He loves my new bracelet too ;)
Nails: Walmart {Easy Going by Sinful Colors - here}
Sandals: Target, similar, similar
Dress: Plato's Closet

Nails & Errands

Today was a day of re-cooperating and errands. David slept forever since he was exhausted from the academy this week and I did my nails, lusted over a Crate & Barrel magazine then ran errands. Here are my freshly pink nails and my stereotypical errand outfit:

Scarf: No idea :(
Sweater: Old Navy {here}
Jeans: Forever 21 {here}
Shoes: Toms {here}

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Super Bowl Sunday tomorrow! Be careful in the icepocalypse.

Floral Friday

I am busy blogging on a Friday night and I am A.O.K. with it! This week has been incredibly busy, with David and I having opposite schedules so I am definitely soaking in the semi-quiet time (the dogs are going crazy). Here is my floral outfit of the day... Is it spring yet!?

PS - When I got home, I figured out that I was wearing the skirt backwards all day, LOL. I just automatically put it on with the zipper in the back. No wonder the pockets were in such an awkward spot.. Whoops.

I painted my nails last night and took this picture with Tank sleeping this morning. The color is NYC Pretty Pink!

Top: Old Navy {here}
Watch: Michael Kors {here}
Skirt: Forever 21 {here}
Tights: Target
Heels: Payless

This may be more casual of a look, but perfect for a Friday! I just bought the sweater and skirt the other day and I truly love them! The polka-dot sweater can go with absolutely anything and the floral skirt will work perfectly in the spring and even in this freezing 25 degrees!

Flip Flop Fantasy

Today was David’s first day of the police academy! It sounds dreadful, honestly. That’s something I could never deal with. You get yelled at for nothing and get physically pushed beyond where anyone should be pushed. You have to have a very special mentality to go through something like that. And it’s only the first day! I’m not even sure how much I’m allowed or not allowed to say about the academy but I’m hoping no sergeants (that’s a weird word) are perusing tumblr late at night… So in celebration of David starting the academy, we went to a Tex-Mex restaurant with his Texas State Trooper friend. I heard an inordinate amount of police talk but I guess I should get used to it from now on. THIS IS MY LIFE!

Dear God, please bless me with some Dallas female companions soon. Thank you. Amen.
In other news, I painted my nails a radiant, summery coral yesterday! The picture just doesn’t do it justice. Every girl should got out and buy it right now. I got mine on sale at Sally Beauty Supply.

Sisters, Starbucks, Spa & Shopping

Today was a wonderful day. My two younger sisters and I went to get our nails done today! Our mom got me and Kelly gel manicures on Groupon with the intention of us using that before the wedding. Well seeing as the wedding was over two months ago, that was a fail. We decided to use it today! We brought along Haley mostly for the fun of it, but she had high hopes that she would be able to get a regular manicure for herself. We had a morning appointment so, of course, we stopped at Starbucks beforehand for a little pre-salon snack. Yum! Kelly got her nails done first, with a brilliant blue color and a silver “chevron” accent nail. By chevron, I mean one zig-zag line at the tip of her nail. It was interesting. Next, was me! My sister always make fun of me for getting some sort of shade of light pink but I can’t help it; I love it too much! They were teasing me a bunch so I ended up going a little crazy and getting a darker coral color - WHOA! Crazy me. I did, however, get an accent nail for the first time. It was a subtle silver sparkle. I actually liked it a lot. Don’t think I would ever care enough to paint it on myself at home but it’s pretty cute, nonetheless.

After she was finished with my nails, I asked our manicurist if Haley could get her little nails done and since she had extra time before her next appointment, she said yes! Haley was ecstatic inside, but trying to play it cool. It was her first time getting her nails done! She basically got the same color as me with the same accent nail but I’m okay with it! She is my mini-me and I love whenever she wants to have the same whatever as me. She’s so cute! After getting our nails done, we did a little shopping. It was a great day and I will miss these two uncontrollably when I am in Dallas.
