Black & White

I had a "big girl" job interview today... I think it went pretty well! I know there are some other candidates so I'm not holding my breathe but it would be awesome to get this new job! The salary would be life changing for us.. Either way, God knows what He is doing so if I get it, I get it. And if not, oh well. All in His hands and I am okay with either outcome!

Sniffles and Gap Jeans

Lately, I have been my time working at Gap, applying to a "big girl job" and trying to get over this cold! Sorry for the lack of excitement, but here are some outfit updates... The show must go on (even through sniffles and coughs).

But let me just say that working as Gap has opened my eyes! I think I owned one Gap item before working here (don't judge) and I didn't realize how cute, comfy, and (sometimes) affordable it is! Granted, without my amazing discount, I probably wouldn't have bought as much as I have so far but their sale is really great sometimes! And their jeans are to die for! Seriously. The best fitting and most comfortable jeans. How come it took be so long to discover them?! Probably because I can't usually afford $70 jeans.. :)

New Job!

I am so excited to officially say I have gotten a job offer at Gap as a sales associate! Woo hoo! I feel like such a high schooler getting excited about a retail job but 1) I love Gap and their clothes 2) the discount is absolutely UH-MAZING!! and 3) I am really hoping to move up with the company. I have been interested in fashion for a few years now and didn't really know where to start (career wise) so I think this will be a wonderful stepping stone for whatever I might want to do in the future. I'm taking it one day at a time and am learning a TON about the company and policies during orientation. Thankfully, only one more day of orientation until I actually start my first shift!

Cobalt, Anyone?

Being home in Florida was so fantastical. We only had one sunny beach day but that was all I needed! One of the main reasons I went home was to see my youngest sister in her first big play!! She has been in acting class for months now and auditioned for this group part in the Pajama Games and she got it! She seriously could not be more adorable up on stage. Acting is her calling! I can't wait until she is all grown up and on Broadway and can fly me to NYC to see her in her fancy shows! JK. Not really. Well, she's only 10 so that will be a while.. But I'm excited for her to pursue her dream!

Fun Finds

I tend to gather a lot of my outfit/shopping inspiration from Instagram - I'm addicted. Recently, I have been seeing a lot of ladies getting their necklaces and accessories from ebay so I started browsing and found a TON of cute necklaces. All of the inexpensive ones - I'm talking DOLLARS - are from China so that automatically takes a month or so to ship and receive. That kind of stinks but oh well. And I figured that there would be a few outcomes: 1) I spend $5 on a necklace, it sucks and I'm only out a few dollars 2) it is super cheap and breaks after I wear it once and I'm only out a few dollars 3) it's awesome and I only paid 5 dolla.

So far, I have worn this necklace twice and it is still intact. I ended up coating it with a clear spray paint because most [cheap] necklaces tend to rub that green stain on your neck so I wanted to go ahead and avoid that - I had a feeling I was going to get rust branded by this gem.
