Each month I round up a list of my current favorites - from TV shows, to beauty products, outfits and everything in between!

OUTFIT

I recently got these adorable tassel earrings from jane.com and built a whole outfit around them. Does anyone else do that!? They will come in so handy for Galentine's Day!

BOOK

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
This was the third book I've read by Gillian Flynn and my least favorite of the bunch so far. Not to say it was bad, but was the longest I one I've read (from Flynn) and takes quite a long time to pick up momentum and keep you interested. I am a sucker for finishing any book I start; it has to be truly unsatisfying and boring for me to not finish a book I've started. I would say around half way through this one, I was starting to get more interested. Then the story unfolds more and more and the ending is surprising!

I would suggest Dark Places to the reader who likes a good story line with different perspectives. It's not like the other books I've read by Flynn (because those were creepy/killing/abusive thrillers) but it's a good read if you're a fan of long books with a story build up.

SHOW

You on Netflix
You had me at Penn Badgely. Then double had me with Shay Mitchell. And then make it a creepy thriller? Oh, I'm already in love. (And may or may no have watched the whole season in less than 2 days - idk!)

I'm sure most of you are well aware of the hype around this show and have probably checked it out at this point BUT for the few friends who aren't avid Netflix watchers or keep up with pop culture, check this out. It is a wonderful suspense thriller! There is some killing but nothing is to gory. I would definitely categorize this as suspenseful - there are a lot of twists and turns, and events that keep unfolding that keep you very interested to see what happens!

PRODUCT

Pore Cleansing Dual Brush
I'm sure you're familiar with the expensive face brushes that have been on the scene for a while now, and if so, you also know that they are quite pricey as well. I've heard such good things about the Clairsonic ones (I would say the most most popular one on the market?) and have always wanted to try them but they start at $100 and just go up from there. Now that, I'm not down for so I gave up on getting one of these magical brushes... until I happened to pass one at Ulta that was only $18. See now that, on the other hand, is something I can afford. And if it doesn't work, that kind of stinks that I'm out a nice $20 but it's also not the end of the world!

I grabbed this one on a whim (it's Ulta - who else always grabs random stuff you don't need?!), and I have been really liking it ever since! I definitely wouldn't say that it's life changing by any means, but I do feel a difference in my skin. I love the silicone side (not a super fan of the brush side but I haven't tried it out enough) for exfoliating! I use it with my face wash at night and it has left my face much smoother and dare I say, even more clear?? I am keeping this little baby in my arsenal for now and who knows, maybe I'll even upgrade to the big, bad, expensive one someday.

Stacy Memes
Don't ask me why Stacy was the designated meme name to start off 2019 with but I think it is hilarious.
