I had the pleasure of teaming up with some fabulous girls on Instagram for a special style challenge! Each week, these girls plan a style challenge for a day and select another fellow Instagrammer to help them host it. This week, our challenge was to incorporated tassels into our outfit! Personally, I think tassels are pretty easy to style - they go with everything!! - it just depends what vibe you're going for. I decided to pair mine with this vibrant floral top and cognac wedges for work.

I tend to gather a lot of my outfit/shopping inspiration from Instagram - I'm addicted. Recently, I have been seeing a lot of ladies getting their necklaces and accessories from ebay so I started browsing and found a TON of cute necklaces. All of the inexpensive ones - I'm talking DOLLARS - are from China so that automatically takes a month or so to ship and receive. That kind of stinks but oh well. And I figured that there would be a few outcomes: 1) I spend $5 on a necklace, it sucks and I'm only out a few dollars 2) it is super cheap and breaks after I wear it once and I'm only out a few dollars 3) it's awesome and I only paid 5 dolla.

So far, I have worn this necklace twice and it is still intact. I ended up coating it with a clear spray paint because most [cheap] necklaces tend to rub that green stain on your neck so I wanted to go ahead and avoid that - I had a feeling I was going to get rust branded by this gem.

So, a little (and quite pointless) story of my tassel adventure... Over the last few weeks, I have been seeing tassel bracelets occupy Instagram and I couldn't wait to get myself one! It took me a while to pick out which colors I wanted to get at first - I am so indecisive - but I finally settled on a white tassel and black tassel, thinking that they would match the most. After having this bracelet significantly less than 24 hours, I ended up ordering 3 more colored tassels online last night {insert crying/laughing emoji face here}. I couldn't help myself!! And my husband thinks I'm a crazy tassel lady now...
